Helium Audio Converter

Helium Audio Converter is a free, fully functioning, helper application that enables you to convert your audio files into many different formats.

It provides comprehensive support for the conversion from and to a large variety of lossless and lossy music file formats, namely:

AAC
FLAC
M4A
M4B
MP3
MP4
MPC
Ogg Vorbis
Wave
WAVPack
WMA

In addition, the music file tag content (meta data) is also converted.

DRM (copy protected) music file conversion is not supported.

On starting Helium Audio Converter, a simple screen is displayed where you can add folders and/or files to a list of music files to be converted. Drag & drop is also supported.

To convert files, you simply:

Specify where you want your converted files saved (or select to output to the same folder as source files)
Select desired output format and optionally set encoder options
Click Convert

For FLAC and MP3 formats, you can also request that the output files be analysed and checked.

There is a powerful inspection tool that shows the properties of the selected music file: An overview, detailed file and tag information and attached pictures.

Options can be set to specify how conflicting file-names should be handled, whether source files should be deleted after conversion and whether a warning should be given when converting from a worse to a better format/bit-rate (e.g. MP3>FLAC or 128 kbps > 320 kbps).

Helium Audio Converter has the following language translations available: English, Dutch, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Czech, Hungarian and Swedish.

Helium Audio Splitter is a free, fully functioning, application that enables you to split one audio file into multiple tracks.

It provides comprehensive support for a large range of source and destination formats:

AAC
FLAC
M4A
M4B
MP3
MP4
MPC
Ogg Vorbis
Wave
WAVPack
WMA

It allows you to create tracks in the following ways:

By loading a CUE file
Creating a specific number of tracks of equal length
Create tracks of the same lengths
Create manually defined tracks by specifying start and end offsets

To split files, you simply:

Open the source file by clicking the Open file... button.
Define the resulting tracks either by loading them from a pre-defined CUE file or by clicking Add tracks...
Enter tag contents for artist, title, album and other relevant fields in the in-place tag editor.
Select the desired output format and optionally set encoder options Click Split files...

In addition, it also enables you to quickly enter tag information in the built-in tag editor which comes with many useful helper commands.
You can also select specific tracks to extract by checking/unchecking them with the checkboxes.

Options can be set to specify how capitalization used in the Tag Editor should be handled as well as allow you to change language.

The Waveform panel can be used to fine-tune the defined tracks, as well as playing them.

Helium Audio Splitter has the following language translations available:

Helium Audio Joiner is a free, fully functioning, helper application that enables you to join multiple audio files into one single file.

It provides comprehensive support for a large range of source and destination formats:

AAC
FLAC
M4A
M4B
MP3
MP4
MPC

In addition, it enables you to insert silence between the joined tracks as well as editing and applying tags to the resulting file.

On starting Helium Audio Joiner, a simple screen is displayed where you can add folders and/or files to a list of music files to be joined.
Drag and drop from external sources such as Windows Explorer is also supported.
You can also drag and move items in the list to quickly and easily reorder them.

To join files, you simply:

Add files to the list and optionally reorder them
Select the desired output format and optionally set encoder options
Optionally fill in tag information for the resulting file in the Tag information pane on the right hand side. Note that some of these fields are autofilled when adding tracks
Click Join files...

You can also select to automatically create a CUE file for the resulting file, by checkmarking the Create CUE file checkbox.

For FLAC and MP3 formats, you can also request that the output files be analysed and checked.

Helium Streamer enables you to playback your personal music collection on an iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch device.
It streams and downloads music from Helium Music Manager. It works with all versions of Helium Music Manager - Free, Premium and Network.

This application is ideal if you want to listen to your Helium Music Manager's music collection away from your PC.
It uses the Wi-Fi connection to receive streamed music from Helium Music Manager from anywhere in and around your home and 3G if you are out and about. Music is cached on the device and is therefore available when offline from Helium Music Manager.

Helium Streamer enables the playback of Playlists, Searches, Suggested Tracks and User Favourites.
Details of the currently playing track are shown; as is information about the playing track's artist.

Helium Streamer interacts with Helium Music Manager's in-built Web Service to stream and download music to the device.

Requirements

Setup

Helium Music Manager - Options (on Windows PC)

Open Options from Tools > Options menu.
Scroll to the bottom in the left list and select Helium Web Service
(available under the Advanced header).
Setup the Port to use (default is 8080).
Click Start to start the server.

Helium Streamer - Settings (on iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch)

These settings configure the basic operation of Helium Streamer and how it communicates with Helium Music Manager on the PC.

Set Disable Auto-Lock to "ON" if you want to prevent the screen saver from activating.
Enter the Address of the Windows PC running Helium Music Manager 8.0+ (e.g. 192.168.0.2)
Enter the Port number (as defined in Helium Music Manager - Options, see above).
If required, adjust Lost Timeout. This value specifies how soon after Helium Streamer for iPhone loses connection to the Helium Music Manager server it should warn about the situation (default is 3 seconds). This allows for occasional lost connections to the server whilst streaming and playing back music.
Helium Streamer can play all music file types supported by Helium Music Manager. MP3 music files are played natively; all other file types will be transcoded. You can set the Transcoding Quality to one of 96kBps, 128kBps [default], 160kBps, 192kBps, 256kBps or 320kBps.

Helium Remote for iPhone

Helium Remote is a client iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch application that enables you to remotely control Helium Music Manager 8 (Premium and Network versions only).

This application is ideal if you want to control Helium Music Manager away from your PC. It uses the Wi-Fi connection to receive playing information and to send control commands to Helium Music Manager from anywhere in and around your home. You can therefore become a remote DJ and control music for your parties without having to be near to your PC.

Helium Remote interacts with Helium Music Manager's in-built Web Service to control the playing of music tracks in the current Play Queue. It will not play any sound on the iPhone device as the Helium Remote App is just functioning as a remote control. It enables the playback of Playlists, Searches, Suggested Tracks and User Favourites. Details of the currently playing track are shown; as is information about the playing track's artist.

The application is currently available with English, Swedish and German translations.
